Summer of Sport in the City - 2024

Following on from the success of the 2023 installation of a padel court in The Crescent, EC4, initiated by Central London Alliance CIC (CLA) in partnership with Aldgate Connect BID, Blue Orchid Hospitality and EC BID, additional organisations came together in 2024 to expand the offering and encourage more visitors from London, the UK and further afield to visit the Square Mile for leisure activities.

Iconic landmarks and hidden parks in the City of London played host to a series of pop-up sports and activities during summer 2024 as part the Summer of Sport in the City campaign.

The City of London’s five Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), in partnership with the City of London Corporation’s Destination City programme and the Central London Alliance CIC, delivered the campaign between 1st July to September, 2024, bringing an exciting new programme of events and sports activities for workers, residents, and visitors alike.
